That is so cute. My son had a collection of Boyds bears when he was younger. They are so cute. Great job on your quilt.

It is so cute. What did you use for your backing?

Thanks everyone...I used 3 layers of flannel. I forgot to get a picture of the back. Was in a hurry taking pictures. A girl where my hubby has dialysis wanted me to make her a boyds bear quilt and he was taking it in with him the day i took the picture ( they called him in early that day) so i was rushing. I'll get a picture of the material and post it. the quilt is 6 foot by 6 foot. When he took it in all the girls went crazy over it. She wasn't there she was at another dialysis center that day. He said he wanted to see her face when she looked at it. So the one girl there that bought a homespun one from me said she would take it to her today. Guess we will find out on monday how she liked it.

Rag quilt cutting.... What scissors do you use ?? I CANNOT imagine all the snip, snip, snipping that you have to do. How did you keep from snipping in the seam line??

This is the fabric i used for the back of the quilt. They have rag quilt scissors. And it took me hours to clip all that. You have to be very careful not to clip the thread.

I never made a rag quilt. Is there anything special I should know? I love the bears. I would do it with dogs if I could and use it as a couch cover for my two couch potato Airedales! Also could use one for the bed as they are bed potatoes also. They do get a lot of exercise, but these are their two favorite spots when indoors.
