I'm calling this my recovery quilt because I recently found out I have breast cancer and will be having surgery on Monday, 11/4. My dear friend, Fran W, quilted if for me. I just have to hand stitch the binding to the backing and it will be all done. Had enough extra fabric I even made a pillowcase to match.
    Praying for a quick recovery

I have to say I disagree with all this talk about keeping your boobies. I am a 14 year survivor only because I have had both breasts taken off, two years apart. I have a list of about 75 friends or people I know of who have had breast cancer and all 14 of them who had just lumpectomies have had their cancer return in a few years much fiercer than the first time, and all are now deceased. Let me say it is possible to live a great life with protheses - no doubt about it, and your husband will love you just as much. Mine says he would rather have me flat than not at all. Something for you all to think about and pray about. Love you, and will be praying for you.
