It's so funny to read all the comments about patience as I don't see myself as patient at all. This came about out of needing to use every piece of fabric and making my money go as far as possible. Fabric here in N.Z. is quite expensive as it is all imported and I have to justify my expense on it. To look at a quilt and say I paid no extra to make it pleases both myself and my husband!

You've made what COULD be a tedious piecing job into a lovely part-time, scrappy work of art! Congratulations - it's beautiful!

My technical ability didn't quite match up with the task but as the sole purpose of this quilt was using up scraps I am very pleased with the results anyway. 90 1 inch squares in each block. I am now going to stop there and bind it in a small black binding and use it as a wall hanging. I love the vibrance of this piece.
That's beautiful. But isn't it hard to sew those tiny pieces? I would think it would be realy hard to get them to come out straight. It sure would be for me. But it is absolutley beautiful!
