Default My Sister's Quilt

Here is the quilt I just finished and mailed to my sister. She had a stroke about 3 weeks ago and is now in a rehab center. The name of the pattern is Sweetie Pie by Darlene Zimmerman. Before her stroke she had seen the pattern online and commented how much she liked it. I used fabric from my stash to make it and could not believe I had the same fabrics; aqua and white with pindots! I am attaching a copy of the pattern as she saw it, and my interpretation. I enlarged the picture of the pattern and was able to see how they quilted it and I quilted mine the same way. Its hard to see in the pix but its SITD across the 9 patches then crosses the hour glass blocks in a double X. She received it yesterday and told me she had the nurses hang it where she could look at it because she was afraid she might mess it up if it was put on the bed! lol Guess maybe I'll have to make her another quilt for her bed! Hope you enjoy looking.

Great quilt and I like how the secondary star pattern is in the background! Sorry your sister has had a stroke and I hope she has a speedy recovery.

You did a great job. Hope your sister heals and can come home soon. I have that pattern also but just haven't gotten the right fabrics yet.
