You have a Necchi in there. Join the Necchi site. It has tutorials that would apply to some other makes. I saw complete directions somewhere. Was it the site of the British repairman who is also a writer? Let me think about it.
There are manuals on the Internet specific to some machines. When I searching for a owner's manual for a Singer Stylist last night, I found several. I found the manual today.

WOW, what a collection. I think you can google the brand name of the machine for a repair manual. Sometimes you can get them online. I have the same old Kenmore (3rd one down on the left of your pic). Got it over 10 years ago at a garage sale for $30. Runs like a charm. It's my "backup machine" when my Viking doesn't want to run. LOL
