I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU MEANT, "WHAT FABRIC LINE ARE THEY FROM"
i EMBROIDERIED THEM ON THERE WITH MY NEW EMBROIDERY MACHINE
USING ROBISON ANTON THREADS AND I BOUGHT MY MATERIAL FROM 'THE BOBBIN BOX' HERE IN MY HOME TOWN. SO DON'T KNOW IF THAT EXPLAINS WHAT YOU ASKED OR NOT.

Truly heirloom quality. How long did it take you? Any reason why you made 2, 1 pink, and 1 blue? You emptied the kudo box, Give your self a big big Smile.

thank you rebecca, it took me 6 weeks to make the top. i didn't do the quilting on it though, i don't know how to do that. my class instructor and the other lady students take theirs to a professional quilter with a long arm machine so that is where i took mine to be quilted. We make the tops and assemble the backing then take it to her then when we pick it up, we have to put the binding on it. i didn't mean to mislead anybody that i did the quilting of it and the reason i made one pink and one blue is because i was so mixed up during the lessons of the first one and made quite a few mistakes on it, so i wanted to make another one to better understand how to do it. the pink first one was so hard for me to understand but the blue one came a lot easier. on the pink one every place i put a butterfly is where i had a goof. then on the blue one i just added some butterflies to enhance it. if yall can see them in the picture. i also put a hummingbird on each one.

    Dojo,

They are both beautiful. Yes, you answered my question; I thought they were appliqued (broderie perse is when you cut out an image from fabric and applique it to the background, hence my reason for asking about the fabric line you used). I had no idea they are embroidered. As far as any mistsakes go, we have adopted the galloping horse theory here, but just so you know, I didn't even see any mistakes at a turtles pace! They are gorgeous!!

    dojo
Goofs are not in the quilt glossary, just creative ideas to further enhance the beauty of our quilts, and away to use that creativity. I was talking about the quilt and not the quilting. Take a bow, it is grand . And inspiring.

I didn't think it could get any better than the pink, but you can certainly put me down for the blue one. Absolutely gorgeous! My son and dil live in Midland, so if you count that, well, we are almost neighbors! :-)

well yes vicki - we are neighbors aren't we. come to bettysbobbinbox someday, it's in a little shopping strip on Grandview & University, couple doors down from Gatti's pizza place. Betty and her daughter Caren
would love for you to come in. they have instructors that come in and teach everything, it's a wonderful place to hang out, we sew & eat, then eat & sew. and yes Rebecca, one of the ladies at the bobbin box says goofs are not goofs, they are a design opportunity.
