    My Wall Hanging it Twilling

It took me a year to get all of the twilling done on this wall hanging, just finished the border. Quilted it on my Gammill Classic

I looked it up. Seems like it is a type of embroidery stitch.

You created a masterpiece! Is it for your home? If I did all that work I don't know if I could bear to give it away.

Your wallhanging is gorgeous! Twilling looks similar to candle wicking but different too. Very pretty.

I don't know what twilling is either but it sure is beautiful. It looks like you make 2 alternate seams and pull a colored yarn through it. It's beautiful whatever it is.

Oh...that is beautiful. And thanks to the person who posted the link of what twilling is. I had no idea either but it could be something I'd like to try someday

Twilling is an embroidery stitch, some call it double knot stitch or palestrina stitch. It is not like candlewicking. It is done with pearl cotton thread. I saw it at a quilt show and had to find out how to do it... I bought the kit at Bits and Pieces Quilt Shop in Eudora KS. www.eudoraquiltshop.com It is a neat shop.
