I think your border was the perfect finish. I'm sure he will be in awe. The best gifts IMHO are the ones that are personally suited to the recipient, and it sounds as if you nailed it.

Oh it looks beautiful. The wolf fabric didn't over power it at all. they are sooooo cute.
