This quilt is made with 100% polyester (double knit), my aunt, now deceased, made it and I just got it from a family member. What color binding would you suggest?

It looks like there is already a binding on there .... grey/black print?

    I'd leave it as is.

..... And if my eyes are playing games on me, I'd probably use a black binding, as I'm sure you don't have any of the same fabric available now.

I also thought it looked like there is already a binding on it, and my choice would also be gray or black

I'm in agreement with the others - it looks like the quilt is already bound, and I'd leave it as is.

    Isn't that an album block.
    I'd go with red.

I think charcoal gray would do it for me.

I think black would frame it nicely.

Dark blue I usually just put a piece of fabric underneath the quilt top with the width of the binding showing to audition it. Audition a few. it is fun

Nice quilt. I would do a black binding. Would make it more dramatic.

I think a dark color, grey or black would be good.

    Red seems right to me.

I love the old polyester quilts. They are very heavy and warm, and they'll never wear out.

I agree, completely. It looked nicely framed with the black print binding.

I think a bright yellow or a black binding would look wonderful.

I know it sounds a little out there, but what about white? It's in the background and could soften up the edge a bit.

    Black would really frame it.
