Wow! Beautiful. We lived in MT for 14 years. I have a WIP deer kit for a deer friend there who had helped us a lot. What batting did you use? Was the backing cotton? I think I'll try fleece. My first quilt was a McKenna Ryan "Out and About". Love the fabric. What store did you buy your fabric from?

Sorry, don' t mean to be dense but when you said you painted the panels do you mean from scratch or you embellished them? It is an amazing quilt.

I use 100% cotton batting. The backing was cotton also. Here's a pic of the back. I shop for fabric at several places and keep on hand but the panels came from Wal-mart and I bought more on line at Bearpawquilting.com. Most the fabics of outdoors type came from Bearpawquilting, they get a lot of my business. I also shop at whittles on line, great prices for a fabric junkie like me. I collect fabric I like and wait to get that spark of inspiration. My quilts are coming together faster now. My poor son had to live through my learning curve. He got to watch it evolve though, which was kind of fun I think.
