yes, that is right. But seriously, I am in danger of giving up on this project if I have to cut and sew that many more BLUE HST's Blue isn't my color, and I am just sick of looking at this project. lol

Yeah, but it will be soooooo worth it.

I vote for the dark(est) HST blocks all around the top.
Toss out your lightest darks and don't use them in the border.
It's a really subtle effect, but it works.
    No lights in the border.

If you absolutely can't muster up any enthusiasm for one more HST block, then a border of your darkest blue all around.
The dark will make all the lights in the center sparkle.

Blue's not my color either but I love your quilt! You did a beautiful job "not to have used a pattern."

I just had three quilting friends stop by and got a great idea. I think I will try it.

Narrow very light blue pleat followed by a narrow dark blue border followed by a wider light blue border. I have to dig through my fabric and see what I have enough of for this.

    Beautiful quilt

I'd go for 1.5in (cut 2in) light inner border and
3.5in (cut 4in) dark outer border ... if you don't want the extra inch, cut the outer dark border 3.5in ~ :D
