Love the tigers. Lots of good ideas for making your quilt longer.

I often have that problem and the very simple solution that I use is to make the top and bottom outside borders wider than the side outside borders. Inside borders are all the same size it's just the outside ones that take care of the problem. So if your side outside borders are 4" you could make the top and bottom borders 6 or 8" to make the quilt the length you want.

Please post photo when you finish the quilt, we all would love to see what you came up with. May in Jersey

because the sashing between the tigers looks like grass or jungle fabric maybe a cloud fabric on top and then water fabric on the bottom and then maybe a piano keys around the whole thing then the sashing fabric again as a think binding of an 1" or 1 1/2"? just a thought and if you need it larger still use the white around the piano keys and you can make the white sides thinner than the top and bottom in white by maybe 1/2" or so. just so that it is a trick of the eye. I am having the same problem with my sons quilt. I am adding an extra row of an other patter on the top and bottom to make it more twin size than square blanky.

Or, you could take some of the sashing fabric and some white and make a border alternating the white and printt vertical or you cand do it horizontal. Either way would work. This is a great quilt and would be fun to work with. Good job!!
    Thank you for the suggestions.
I thought about putting double sashing on top and bottom but I thought it may not look right. But you think it would look OK?

Add your borders with grass print and add one bottom border of tiger skin print and trail it off the quilt to make a loop like its an actual tigers tail. Maybe a little lite stuffing and it will make a great blankie handle.

That's funny but not sure how to make the tail a loop or a straight piece? Would I put it between the top and bottom then put on the other boarders????

How about a wide strip with crouching tigers?
