Ditto. IMO, the yellow and light green are washouts. Your beautiful blocks are lost.

I agree with the burgandy, but maybe a sage green. Either would work, in my humble opinion

JLJack: No opinion is humble. I so appreciate everyone's opinion and I now have several yards of burgundy, several of dark green, and enough gold/yellow/tan tone on tone to finish the quilt. I JUST CAN"T SEEM TO MAKE A DECISION on this quilt. Don't know what my problem is?????

I prefer the burgundy and dark green myself. The edges of the kaleidoscopes blend too much with the lighter colors.

It is looking wonderful. Keep of the good work and update us on your progress.

Not that we matter that much, but have you done a tally of the opinion poll?

Suggestion: Put all but one background fabric away and audition the blocks on one fabric for a few days. Check it out in different light, different moods, see how it "speaks" to you. After a few days, switch out the fabric and repeat the process. I am pretty sure that "THE fabric" will say the right thing.

i like the darker colors best - burgandy first, dark green second. they make the subtle colors really stand out and be seen.

The light yellow was a hands down winner to me. It's classy, soft and doesn't over power your beautiful OBW, rather it shows it off I thought. I love the stong background colors, but your block is so beautiful it desverse the attention. Whatever color you choose though, it is going to be beautiful from the looks of it!.
