With so many prints in the body I would go with a plain border or as Laura 3 says frame it first.

I think you need a plain border, something dark and bind it with the same fabric as the border. Something busy is distracting. It's a great quilt, all it needs is a frame.

The blocks with red and pink seem to jump out. I would use one of the dark browns, perhaps solid and then end up with prairie points of all your fabrics around the edge. They will echo the sharp angles of the logs.

I agree - use a dark or bright 1or 1 1/2" frame border to make your quilt pop. Then do a border in your favorite fabric from the quilt.

It's a beautiful quilt. I think a small border in the darkest color in the quilt to frame it, maybe 2 inches which sews 1 1/2 inch then use the print you bought if you like it as a larger border.

    That sounds perfect.

I would use a plain border and be done.

If you want to use that last fabric, I would create three borders: the first a plain one, the second your last fabric in thinner border than the first, and the third another plain border as wide as the first plain border.

Hope that's helpful. Whatever you do I know it will look great.

try the lavender color that is in the center towards the bottom half. i think that would really set it off with maybe a second border in orange.
