I love the blocks and am sure whatever you decide will be gorgeous!
    I agree with scowlkat.
You are doing a great job designing this quilt!! I can't wait to see more :D:D:D

Here's one...not sure if it's what you are looking for but it does have a chain block.

Thank you! I actually drew out several designs and this was one of them. Just find it so difficult to decide!

Finally, I like the dark blue sashing. I like how it makes the secondary squares with the cornerstones.
I put all the blocks on top of a big piece of the navy...and it really makes them stand out so nice...and does create another block without it being so busy. Then red for the centers or even using a variety of the colors for the centers...this is where I'm leaning right now. Thanks for the insight on the secondary squares.

YES :D :D :D ...YOU ARE BRILLIANT!!!! That is exactly the chain block I was hoping you could find! Karen do you like it? Do you think it will work? I think it would be awesome nd if your son loves red I would use red if not use green or what ever color he really likes. What do you think? ooooh I can see it in my head and wow it is awesome!!!!

Yeah, glad she found the one you were thinking of! Yes, I do like it a lot. It's between this one or doing the secondary squares with a contrasting center. Going to sleep on it all and think about it some more tomorrow. Just realized I think I'm coming down with something so I'll wait till I'm more clear headed to make up my mind. In the meantime...I'll just make more blocks as I feel up to it. Thanks so much to everyone for your help!

I agree with Ditter. Red cornerstones will make the quilt sparkle.

I think red in the center would be great. I am impressed with the straigthness of your stripes and plaids. Good work!!
