Beautiful quilt. Quilting depends on your skill and how much time you want to spend quilting. I love the cross hatching idea. Echoing around the beautiful emboridery would look great also. Whatever you decide, your mom will absolutely love it!!

That is a very pretty quilt. I have a lot of flowers and it sure is cooler to look at them on a bed than out in this heat! I was wondering if you would mind to share the sashing material's name. I have a project in mind that would lovely in this fabric. Is there some identification in the selvedge?? Please post again after the quilting is done.

That's what I was thinking! Glad you found a picture...it's so much easier to explain. Your's could be quilted behind the green leaves. Did that make sense? Hahaha!

In my opinion, the flower area needs to be quilted somehow. The picture shows a wonderful example on her quilt top.

This is what I would do also, than just do an all over pattern for the rest as it won't show much anyway. Just my opinion!!!!
