You've had some really nice advice from everyone. I did notice the add moose and bears which would by my advice. But I'm an animal freak so beings your doing such a swell job on it so far I know whatever you do on it it will turn out great. I hope to see it when you get it done. The pattern is from a wall hanging that is about 12 x 16 I wil go find the book adn tell you more PM me K I had to renlarge it to do this to a twin size. lOL

My first thought was to add more trees on the sides. How do you feel about putting a first border of flying geese next to the trees before putting on the final border? That way you wouldn't have such a big final border. Sounds like the finished size needs to be at least 70 x 90.

That's what I was thinking. Super job so far. BTW, I would shadow (echo?) quilt around the appliqued pieces and not do an over-all quilt pattern.

I got some night sky type fabric yesterday and fabric to make a bear... trees perhaps a cabin and a full moon with a wolf sillouette? or a moose. Going to work on this today it will then be long enough but then have to widen it ;)LOL
