    I totally agree Shorebird, you said exactly what I have been trying to communicate. Thanks so much for summarizing for me. I am a season quilter, and knew going in that it would be a challenge, and I spent a good bit of money for the layer cake and two border fabrics. (It is a wedding gift.) My whole reason for even posting this thread is for others to be aware of the results you will get every time you work with bias. (Yes I starched).

    It looks great from here...and now that you have that experience under your belt, you can move on. At least it didn't end up in a UFO pile. Great job.
