oh-i'm not going to ruin the surprise. if it turns out the way he wants/envisions it will be something. he knows how to challenge me! I will do my best to do justice to the beginning background- 'cause I sure love it so far. i'm feeling a little intimidated to continue on- but have my preliminary sketches & ordered necessary fabrics- so while waiting for them to arrive I can work on granddaughter's next quilt & work through this one in my mind. so...time will tell- no hints---have to wait & see (after all anticipation is part of the fun!)

It shimmers like a lake in the sun! Beautiful! Meybe you could just leave it as is and make a second one to embroider on - LOL! You do make it all look easy!

Men are kinda whiney like that, aren't they? Lol! Mine does the same thing, every time I start a new quilt. "So, I kicked to the back of the line, again?" Thing is, I've already made him two!

Can't wait to see it finished! I can see a winter "path to grandma's" or a winter wonderland appliqued onto this! Beautiful!
