New Cot Quilt
#172
Oh, my Lord in Heaven, you do THE most gorgeous hand quilting. That really tight quilting, is that called "seed" quilting or something like that? I tried it once and just couldn't get the hang of it. It looked really bad.

I use a 18" hoop on a floor stand, a Jasmine Easy Spinner. It works perfect for me because I only quilt in one direction - towards my body. I can turn the hoop in the direction I need.

As far as I know it is called "stippling". The quilting lines can be straight, in little squares like a checkerboard, chevron/herringbone pattern, waves etc. The result always looks different.

Well, I haven't made this quilt for a cot or cradle. I could also call it small wallhanging. Quilt shows in UK often use this term for a contest category for small quilts with a size around 34"x54". Maybe I am going to enter it in a show there and that's the reason why I call it like this....
