Do you ever stop? Everytime I see a post from you - I have to look in awe and drool. I love to hand quilt but have never done a whole cloth quilt. Do you draw all of your own patterns? Is there a link you can send for patterns? I'm a piecing mad woman again this year - but perhaps I could carve out a couple of winter months next year to attempt something breathtaking.

That is impressive. And that is putting it mildly/ I have just been staring at it in disbelief how gorgeous it is.

I'm very sorry but I think I can't give you an answer to this question. This quilt is not made with additional trapunto, it's only hand quilted with no extra stuffing. The densely quilted background makes it look like a Boutis, but it's just a quilt with three layers.

I use a lot of traditional English and Welsh quilting patterns. Very often I don't find stencils of them, therefore I have to draw them myself in the right size and make cardboard templates. Some of my patterns are completely self designed and I also use ready made stencils.

The pattern you see here on the cot quilt is adapted from the design of a diamond tiara that belongs to the British royal dynasty. I hope the Queen has nothing against it....
