I love this. I am not sure wait the difference is between mile a minute and a crumb quilt - maybe someone could tell me.

How have you done the circle? Is it bond a webbed on, or gathered over card and appliquéd on? I really like this idea and have itchy toes and fingers to try one!

I made the circles in reverse applique so they come out almost perfect and lay real flat. Make sure you use a tear away stablizer so it will not ripple when you do the satin stitching.

Mile a minute and crumbs are basicly the same idea just slighly different starting points (IMHO). MaM uses the small pieces sewn to a long strip then they are cut apart.

Crumbs are the small pieces are sewn together and then as the piece gets bigger you start adding longer strips.

This gets me to thinking about borrowing my friend's Accucut Go and the Drunkards path die and play with it this way...I have several crumb blocks made up..another cool way to place them together.

Aren't crumb blocks fun? I just finished up a throw sizes crumb block quilt. Now every one in the family wants one. I tried to explain that it takes a while to save enough crumbs for a quilt.

Quite a beautiful effect those circles give in the black squares.

    Moosegirl the quilt is beautiful!

I've been thinking of making these round crumb blocks ever since you posted the first photo.

Gonna have to jump in and do it.

I don't remember if you posted how you constructed the circle ... was it using Dale Fleming's technique of making circle blocks? I've done circles that way b4 but not sure if it would be more challenging with the crumb blocks on the back.

thanks for sharing, I really am in awe of your quilt.
