Both of them are just beautiful! I just finished the star pattern and it's surprising how the same design can look entirely different because of fabric choices. I love what you did with it!

The star is my own design. I make them up as I go along. I get an idea and just cut and sew. The corners sort of "evolved. I wanted a cornerstone, but not a solid color. That looked boring. So, I made additional hst's. This is the 3rd "strippy star" (my name for them) quilt I have made. I am writing the pattern to teach at my LQS this summer. With all this possitive feedback, I might try to publish it! (I would just rather be quilting).
