Thanks kd124 I appreciate the compliment! I really like this one too. I have been trying to get the message across that my methods make the intricate looking quilt blocks really easy to do. That is one of the reasons I wanted Suzy to try this "Wings Block" because it does look really complicated but it isn't when you know the tricks just like the Boston Block and the Star Point Block. If you have seen the Star Point Block then you will have an idea of how easy this one can be. It has a couple more steps but it is the same method of cutting an angle and sewing the fabric together.
I wanted to follow up the Star Point Block with this block because they are related in how they are made. So if you understand the Star Point Block you will not have any problem with the Wings Block.
The design possibilities with these shortcut methods are infinite!! They will go as far as your imagination can take you!!
Ok my lecture is over now!! Thanks for listening!!!LOL LOL LOL

And thanks Suzi for helping me!!! Sorry I stole your thunder!!(hijacked it)

I look forward to your next project!!

Thanks everyone and your more than welcome Rhonda, I had fun making the block.

Rhonda's right, if you understand the Star Points Block then you will easily be able to make this one. Or you could start out on this one, then move to the star points block, either way it works. All in all it's fun to choose colors and play with the blocks to create designs. The designs are infinite as far as I can see.

The thing that fascinates me about the Star Point Block and the Wings block is they give the illlusion of curves when in fact there are no curves!
