I love your quilt! Glad you challenged yourself. You should be proud of yourself for doing it!

Now that’s what I call a herd of birds if not the whole darn flock! Very nice.

The challenge was great for me. I am alsp planning to challenge myself by doing some foundation paper piecing when I return to the work force. My husband needs some help so I will be returning to work when summer is over and plan to use some of my free time at work to learn to piece. I have a ton of books and mags with beautiful patterns in them that I have been wanting to try but have been scared to but am gaining more and more courage as time goes on.

I was planning to have this geese topper finished by now but these kids have kept me on my toes sewing other things. Hopefully I can put the finishing touches on this today and load it on the frame so I can start the next one which is the Americana Flag. I have the perfect fabrics picked out and laid out and they are just waiting in jealousy that I have not started them yet.

Isn't that just like fabric? They just cannot seem to leave us alone! "Look at me!" "Don't I look, feel and smell good?" "Take me home!" "Use me in your project, I'm perfect for it!" "Take me outta the closet, I'm here to comfort, warm or decorate!"

O dont you know it! My fabric speaks to me all the time which is why I can not use a pattern at all I just have to do what it tells me to do which may change in the middle of the project just because it wants to!
