Beautiful pattern and I'm sure your daughter will love it. The two quilt inspectors just crack me up.

Sew pretty! A neat story, and it will be a special heirloom piece. Looking forward to seeing more pics~

it is just gorgeous! you are so lucky to be allowed to use a family pattern. This is not something that is usually shared. I am sure that she will love it and treasure the memory of her dad.

Beautiful! I love Hawaiian quilts but don't know if I'll ever get one done. It's on my wish list just in case.

That is a magnificent pattern. I love the monstera leaf motif. How generous of the guild president to share it with you. I think your fabric choice is outstanding. It will be a treasure, for sure. I have a Hawaiian block pattern that I hope to make someday, but I doubt I could ever finish a quilt of that size and caliber.

That's awesome. I'm also working on a Hawaiian quilt for my son's girlfriend's dad who has bladder cancer. What tool did you use to cut your pattern? I bought a set of craft knives at Harbor Freight and they work really well for cutting the applique' pattern/fabric, but my knuckle get sore after a while from pressing so hard.
