I have 1 macaw, a scarlet named Boober...lol! I didn't name her!
Yes, I draw them onto a piece of paper creating patterns for them. Each bird is done in the colors that they naturally are in the wild.

I have 9 congo greys. I had 2 tim's but just sent them down to a conservation breeding program down in Texas as they were both wild as could be & their numbers are seriously dwindling in the states. I couldn't breed them myself as they were brother/sister so they'll be paired up with other bloodlines.

I am working on my own personal quilt now, it's all african greys but I think I am going to leave it at 30 squares (6X5) instead of 42 as one can I come up with so many patterns. It's coming along rather quickly too as there are only 6 colors, so I'm spending less time threading the machine. As soon as I get the one back that I mailed out last week, I'll be sending out a 56 square that we'll be raffling off at our bird club. The birds are the same size as the others, just the squares are a bit smaller.

There are so many words I could use here to describe this BEAUTIFUL quilt, but my fingers would be too tired to quilt. =)
