ok, I have two kids concerts to attend tonight, so I am walking away from this for a few hours... I have been fussing with final placement of the bflys (the rest is all stitched and in place. These are heading in a different direction that the original post pics, let me know opinions. I may switch them back, but I think I've been fussing with them too much and now cannot make up my mind :)

I was shooting for the viewing angle of what you'd see on a bed to see if the perspective shot would give me a different visual...

here is the other optional layout I'm toying with... we'll see what I feel when I come back in later tonight :)

this was taken without the flash, so the color is off, but this shows the stitching around the appliqued roses

Just as a quick comment...I like the first arrangement best with the butterfly 'noses' all headed toward the corners of center block. But either way...it is going to be great!

I like the first too, but whatever you decide, it is going to be one pretty quilt.

I think I am more partial to the first layout too, going to sleep on it. From afar, it is reminiscent of a floral motif made by the designs on the bottoms of the butterflies :) I had my Droid with me at the concert, and one of the other moms is an antique dealer ~ showed her this thread, with today's updates ... she told me she HAS to see this before I give it away.
