The Nightmare Quilt for GS
#21
What a lovely quilt, you did a fabulous job! And that Igor -- he is gorgeous!
I slept in a twin till I started college and it didn't do me any damage. I don't understand why a 6-year-old needs a double bed! Did they actually send the quilt BACK to you to enlarge?? As was mentioned above, I would have left it as a throw. I guess I'm nowhere near as good an aunt as you are a Granma!

I hope he appreciates all you did to make the quilt fit his new bed. It is absolutely beautiful. You did a wonderful job on the design, and it's quilted just right. It's a show stopper for sure.

Beautiful quilt and I hope the grandson appreciates what you did for him. I understand exactly where you are coming from, I would do about anything possible for my one and only grandchild, or my 2 boys. That's the mother love in us. They are worth it. Keep up the good work and next time they want something special, tell them to make sure they know what they want and no makeovers. LOL

Igor says Thanks (Nightmare Quilt)
For those who asked, Igor is a 16 yr. old Himalayan sweetheart. He's going to be tested for diabetes on Thursday. (Part of getting old.) Thank you to all who sympathized with me. It was comforting knowing all of you understood my journey. I wish I could have been more firm with my daughter (she doesn't sew-says she's too busy)! I don't think she has a clue as to what it takes to enlarge a quilt. NO MORE!!!
