Default The North Branford Potato and Corn Fest wall hanging!

Our town has a potato and corn festival every year (lovingly called the PoCo Fest) with food, rides, tractor pulls, crafts...you know the type - small agro fair. Everyone loves it. I am one of the volunteers and promised to make a wall hanging featuring what we all love about the PoCo Fest. I took pictures from the festival website and turned them into appliqued pieces, using beige thread and a zigzag stitch (my machine HATES Aurofil). The fireworks presented a challenge, but after I really looked at the pictures, I decided that I could create a reasonable facsimile using fabric markers and layering.
Here it is - thanks for looking.

Even though your quilt is great, I would love to go to something like you have described. How fun!

That is awesome. I like using fabric markers, crayon, and embroidery paint in quilts. Sure everyone will love it.
