Not So Sure
I've been using material from my stash and made this "Trip Around the World", but as you can see, I ran out of some fabrics and so I'm guessing I should really call it "Trip Around the Town". LOL Anyway, I like how it turned out. In an effort to use more fabric from my stash, I've started to make the backing for the quilt. (See second picture.) It is really so different from the front, I'm not sure I should use it for the backing (or at all). I don't know how I would quilt this if I used this different backing. Any opinions?

One of the nicest 'trips around . . . ' that I've seen.
Your color placement is pleasing, I like the triangles around the squares, and the border is perfect for the fabrics you've chosen.
The red, yellow, black and white would be great for another top. I don't think it's very compatible with the trip around top.
I like them both - just not so much together.
But it is your quilt - and you need to do what you need/want to do.

I am usually not fond of Trip Around the World...But I love your "scrappy" Trip Around Town. Sorry, I have to agree, I don't think I would use that back on your beautiful quilt. Had the reds been purple I think it would have worked. Oh, well, another quilt, right?
