HUH??? What scrap club? Btw. This does not require set in seams.each block has its own HST so it can be pieced in rows. Good thing because there would have been a LOT more mistakes. So the small block is 6.5". The short strips are 2.5 x 6.5" and the long strips are 2.5 x 8.5. The square for the HST is 6 5/8" but something isn't right because I still couldn't get my 1/4" seam allowance at the points and lost a lot of them. Hey SheriR, after Barbs quilt I am afraid to do another one!!

I've traced this down to two places but not the pattern. Eleanor Burns French Braid with a Twist http://www.quiltinaday.com/community...=5&topic=27438
and another place called 36 French Braid Blocks. Here is how the block is constructed. It looks pretty simple. This will go on my to do list for some day in the future.
I hope this helps.
