Looks awesome. I love these.
How many yards did it take to make the king size and what size triangles did you use.

That is one awesome quilt! Ditto to what others have said about it AND the quilting. I'm jealous of your ability to do such a fantastic quilting job! Enjoy!

pretty quilt. Your quilting is just beautiful. I love how you quilted the border. My mind always thinks "something up the middle of the border" but this is amazing. I'm going to add this to my sketch book. Thanks for sharing

Mary~I bought 10 yards of fabric and only have about a half yard left. The triangles were cut from strip sets that were 6 1/4" high. I decided on that size by measuring the repeat in the fabric and dividing it evenly into 4 strips so that there wouldn't be any waste.

Kris~I used an across-the-border design on this so that the borders wouldn't stretch and get wavy. This is a motif I made up for this quilt, and I'm really happy with it. To stitch it, first I did a row of spirals around the inside of the border, then I went around again, adding the long wavy lines with a swoop between them. It was fun and fairly easy to stitch; have a good time with it!
