I love it! It is definitely a keeper.
I don't know just how large it is, but it looks like it could be made into a wall hanging! I love your block placement...

Oh, there really isn't such a thing as "wrong" fabric for this block I don't think!
If you do want to give it away, gift it to "a special little girl" you may know, or get to meet someday.

I'm not an OBW fan but I really like this one because you opened up the top and it's not busy. That is the main reason I don't like this pattern is because it's so busy, but your's is absolutely great. Please finish it, it could be a great gift.
