What a great idea! Your potholders are very attractive......
I, too, would probably use two layers of insul-brite :)

Hello Pink rose,

I don't think your question is stupid, I am wondering the same thing.

Cheers Ann

Hi again. It's One Block Wonders. You take one fabric and stack the layers so when it's cut, you get the same exact piece repeated. Then the fun begins!

Diana, the OBW's are not anywhere as hard as they look. The book is so easy to follow and doesn't skip any details. I highly recommend it.

This Mom, I used 2 layers of insulated batting. It said use 1 layer with a layer of regular batting but I didn't follow the directions. One of my downfalls. So that's probably why they look so heavy. They are pretty stiff but I bet the hold up a long time! LOL
i have a question, do you put the shiny sides of the insulbrite facing each other or facing outward, is it the shiny side that repels the heat? by the way, yours are very pretty.

The instructions said you could do it either way. I put the shiny sides together.
