I love it, Karla. That looks very similar to my first quilt but you were more creative. Even the colors are similar to the one I did.

It looks pretty good for a first quilt! The important thing is how much it is loved!

Karla, I think it's all been said. "You've come a long ways." "We all have to start somewhere." etc. Thanks for sharing.
When my girls were little I used prequilted fabric to make them each a quilt. Oh, yeah! I really worked hard on those (not!) but I was pleased with them and so were my girls. That's all that matters.

You must be bursting with pride!! NOT!!!!!!!! just kidding my dear. That is a great quilt, perfect teaching example, and a great measure of just how far you've come. Aren't you glad you still have it!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. How wonderful that our children aren't looking for perfection only a warmth that feeds the soul. You are a blessed woman and so are your children.

Karla, that is such a sweet quilt. I have some like that. It was difficult to find materials that had enough contrast. It seems all pretty fabrics had the same value, and over itme, they fade to the same color! Your quilt is loved, and that is the true test!

It looks good - looks like you didn't smooth it out enough before you pinned it and started quilting it. Keep going you will get better,if you aren't already.

First quilts usually hold a special place in our hearts. I'm sure your daughter has memories about being the one to receive it. That's special. Be proud that it needs repair. I love it when someone tells of a quilt being used. that's what they are made for.
