    The animal quilt is so sweet and such a treasure. You did a great job with it. Also your 10 minute block quilt is so pretty.

    Nice keepsake, glad you got it and finished it into a quilt. Love the little donkey block. Also like your bright quilt, love brights.

    Oh, how cute are those animals??? Maybe she was color blind or just had a bunch of green embroidery thread that she needed to use up. My mother-in-law was very sickly/old when my youngest DD was little and she embroidered a little quilt top for the new baby and it had a baby angel on it. She used dark brown thread for the baby. A little puzzling for our family - but I will finish it up to have on hand when my DD has a baby.

    The embroidered blocks are adorable, so glad you incorporated them and are keeping the quilt as a family heirloom. Good job!
