Default Old sewing cabinet now SHABBY CHIC!

Hi Everyone!
I just wanted to share my newest adventure in sewing cabinet redos. I bought this 1970's singer storage saver for my bernina 1230 used and in okay condition except that it was very dated hardware and I wanted something shabby chic for my sewing room. I removed the hardware and replaced it with some pretty floral appliques. My hubby remade the sewing table to fit my bernina and he covered it in durable white formica. Then we painted the whole thing white and I did a lavender wash. Added the crystal knobs and there you have it a shabby chic beauty!!! Love the storage on the inside with the thread holders. There is storage in the bottom section also.

Happy quilting,
Jeanne

I'll bet you could get your husband a lot of business making more of those cabinets. In the mean time you have a wonderful place to store and use your machine. Lucky lady!!
