    I decided to post a quilt I made 6 years ago. My DH and I were invited to a birthday party, complete with feast and mariachis. The invitation came late. I had one day to prepare a gift. this is what I made.

    Thank you all!

    Those stems were made from slender green cording and machine blanket stitch. The buds are folded circles. this was much easier than it looks. Try one. It makes a splendid gift. Usually, I use a FQ of something really nice for the background.

    BTW, in general I quilt and bind these things before I put on the design.
