I am putting up 2 blocks, same pattern but with different colors. Please tell me which you would prefer to get in an exchange. I like aspects of both. (Getting rid of that awful orange is tempting). I will be making 18, only keeping one for myself, will get back 17 made by other people.

definitely the first one! I LOVE the orange fabric, so if you can't use it, send it my way ;) LOL!

I like #1. What size is your star block before the borders? I'm in a block exchange and we are suppose to make star blocks. I like your star.

Do the blocks look like they are floating? Do you like the mottled "shadow" or the black one better?
