Am working on this Teddy on Parade quilt and need your opinions on how to quilt it. Stipple? Stitch in the Ditch? Or a simple grid of squares? Do I stitch around each Teddy? I can't decide.... Picture attached.

What a terrific quilt!!! Personally, I would stitch around each teddy bear, then stitch-in-the-ditch the other seams, but that is just me.

Also, what about Teddy Bears in the border? A chain of them, kind of like paper kids? (does that make sense?)

I am sure whatever you do will be great!

Adorable!

My thoughts are you want to make those Teddy's pop!

So I'm thinking a fine stipple or very fine cross-hatching for the background of each Teddy with an outline stitch close to the applique stitching of each Teddy. Also SITD for the rail fences. Then straight line quilting for the stripes in the border, the same width as the rail fence strips, and to create somewhat the effect of piano keys.

That quilt is beautiful. I really like your color choices. I agree with the others, and think you should quilt around the teddies so they really pop. Show us when it is finished.

Ditto, the stippling around the teddies would really make them stand up! Cute quilt!

I'd stitch around the teddies, and I'd quilt teddies into the border as well.
