    really nice, I always just glazed over the more complicated patterns, thinking I can't do that, now I can "see" the pieces and think "I can do that!". I passed up some really neat ones!

    I felt that way, too, when I tackled my first pattern with more than 5 pieces in a block. My friend and I did a Tree of Life quilt with 1" pieces in a 12" block...so, you can imagine how many!! Just go one piece at a time, slow, steady, accurate. That's that trick. You'll gain speed over time.
