Default One small quilt, two big firsts...

I made this 40x56" quilt for a friend who is having a baby in July. Her nursery is decorated with vintage toys and shabby chic furniture and fabrics. I chose red and turquiose and white because they are very mid-century to me.
The piecing was very easy, but, this was my first full go at FMQ on anything other than a practice square. It's also the first time I have done mitered corners. Until now, I would slightly round off the corners of everything I made and bound in bias binding.

    Thanks for looking!
