That is fabulous...as I scrolled down, I laughed out loud at your kitty inspecting the bottom!

Looks great! One of best samplers I've seen in long time looks like cat approves. I too love Quilters cache.

You have done a magnificent job. You will enjoy it for many years.

I made a small sampler a few years ago. (not done yet). I am thinking when I get it done, I will put a second label listing the names of the blocks.

Beautiful quilt. You should keep such a work of art. Just hope there is NOT a mice hiding behind the quilt!!

Thanks everyone for your very kind comments. As to co-ordinating fabrics--I did ths quilt over a few years and haunted the fabric stores wherever I went, for black, red or white fabrics, especially ones that had all three colours and small prints. The border is paper pieced and I found a tutorial on how to draw the pattern after Googling 'double flying geese border'.

Boston1954--what a great idea! Now you'll have me searching my notes for all the names for all the blocks! I guess I get to name the ones that I made up, right?

ManiacQuilter2--a few years ago that just might have been the case!! We live in the country and my boys loved to practice Catch and Release--especially in my bedroom at 3 a.m.!!
