I was looking at this Brother too. Did you know Juki makes Brother and Babylock?

No...I had no idea and since I live in Mexico I choose the Brother version since they have representation in here....I am very happy with this machine :D

Just remember when you first work with it to keep your fingers and blouse and whatever else may have a tendency to go under the needle AWAY! lol You will absolutely love it ,I know I love mine even thoguh it stays on the quilting frame

That's what I just got!! Isn't it great??? It works well on the Handi Quilt frame and you're right, it is FAST.

You're right about that! Folks at church found out I could sew and BOOM, I've sewn bridesmaid dresses (hated that one), seams in suit pants, replaced zippers, added "extentions" to dresses that were too short, hemmed pants that were too long, altered jackets, etc. Finally I learned to sometimes say no. I'm not asked to maked bridesmaid dresses anymore. I hate working with slick, unravely fabric. But I do still mend a little. Sometimes I say, "Do you have a portable machine?" If they say yes I'll tell them to bring it next Sunday and I'll stay after church and show them how to fix the problem. That usually solves two problems at once, their's and mine.
