I like the same color block in the second picture. I'm a bobble head tryiing to look from one to the other......need coffee, here. They are beautiful.

I definitely lean toward the "same." It definitely has a scrappy feel while retaining some unity.

Now to add another possibility to the mix. Rotate every-other "same-color big block" 90° such that intersection of four "same-color big block" come together like the middle intersection in "scrappy squares" option. Hopefully that made sense.

It is going to be a great quilt no matter what.

The one with the same colors gives it continuity, the other one is scrappy looking. I like them both, though I think the one with the same colors reads softer. Does that makes sense?

It looks like the same color is in the lead… I think what ever you like best is the winner. I vote the same.
