LOL. My first quilt teacher (now a dear friend) used to reassure me that you could "fiddle fudge" just about anything if you had to (but try not to have to) and that "you can't see a quarter inch from the back of a galloping horse"! LOL. Of course her quilts are PERFECT, the biotch. (We are good enough friends I can say that). But you are right, you CAN'T fiddle fudge a quarter inch!
Personally, I think you are a genius when it comes to design!

I'm glad you've finished this fabulous quilt for your ROMANTIC husband. Sounds like a great relationship.
I remember this quilt from your first posting - unless you've done more than one Illusion quilt? Looking forward to the tute.
