    That's lovely! I recently did a very bright quilt out of my comfort zone in several regards. It was fun, but I'm back in the comfort zone for my next few projects...

    While it is colorful, I would say it's colorful in a muted way. I am sure she was thrilled to receive this lovely quilt :-)

    Yes indeed... I had an not so subtile exchange offer prepared in my head in case she wouldn't like the color combo, but I really didn't had to say anything. She just saw a corner of it and her face told me it was a done deal :-)

    I understand what you mean; comfort zone is where we feel confident and competent. But I think this project (and all the wonderful comments of member of this board!) have help me to extend a little my comfort zone! I'm willing to try a few more projects like this.
