I loaded so much stuff out of this room to make it my sewing room. Still taking the sofa & coffee table out to make room for my quilting frame and going to paint the walls a pale yellow. But off to a good start! :-)

I love your room. So spaceous and inviting. With my eyes, I would be putting task lighting everywhere for those dark days and nights when I can't see a dog gone thing! LOL!

OH...if you had room to leave the couch it looks like the perfect cubby hole to sit and look at quilt magazines and books! You are so lucky to have such a wonderful place to be creative!

My thought too - is there room to the right of the window for frame? Looks like shelves there could be moved.

    Nice!!

I'm with the OP ... if you can manage the space, leave the couch (or a lazy boy chair?) for a comfy place to sit a spell, and planning your projects! Plus, that's where I do binding and hand sewing.

And agree ... consider the lighting. If you can get it built into the ceiling with lots of variables, it'll save stuff on the floor!

What a great room. Also terrific lighting.

I have a nice large space, but it is a little dark since I don't have any windows.

While you're at it ... consider including a design wall.
    You'll never regret it!

Oh, leave the sofa if you can! I have a small soda-shop table and chairs in my quilting room. My hubby works from home and he frequently comes out to the studio to have lunch with me....and sometimes, my kids will sit at that table to do their homework. I love having a place for others to sit...Think carefully before getting rid of it! just my .02!
