All your planning made it turn out so perfect! What an amazing design! It looks like a difficult pattern. (I don't know what an SAS block is.) What a great idea to make a table runner and vase mat to practice the quilting! You are so brave to try metallic threads. Just WOW!

It definitely deserves to hang longer than a few weeks, but what do I know. I had a Christmas village up year round and everybody loved it summer or winter. I'm at the age where I do what I want to do if it gives me pleasure.

You have special new pieces to decorate your home in the Christmas SEason. Very lovely in the fabric choices and in the quilting with metallic thread.

Thanks Everyone for your most kind and generous comments.
I have been remiss in not posting/replying in a more timely manner to each of you.

Marnie .... I hope that you have gone ahead with your version and would love to see yours too!

QuiltedSunshine .... Maybe you have already discovered that SAS = Storm At Sea?? It really is not a hard pattern to do. The hardest part is just following the colour guide/chart to make sure you get the right fabric in the right position! PPing really is quite easy.

BsktLofR-Quilter .... ha! I'm with you. It's your home and decorate as you wish. I did leave a heart quilt hanging for over a year. Just because I was so pleased with it ... and wanted to keep enjoying it. However, it did really speak of valentines with the red, pink and white throughout and hearts upon hearts all over. No regrets!! and tough on any nay-sayers! Here it is ...
Nine Hearts .... the final episode of the Twelve Lonely Hearts

Sue.Ross.8782 .... I find it hard to believe that I finished these off four years ago now. Still one of my favourite quilt projects.

My apologies if I missed any replies ... just let me know and I will try to respond in a more timely manner!
